Seventy-seven-year-old Frances Hernandez from Commerce City, Colorado, has been with her significant other for 32 years. When not spending time with her partner and their dog, Precious, Frances enjoys gardening, doing yardwork, and going for long car drives.

After fainting and falling, Frances suffered acute respiratory failure and heart failure. Although insurance played a role in why she chose Northern Colorado Long Term Acute Hospital (NCLTAH), she is grateful to be there.

“Everyone has been wonderful and makes you feel comfortable,” Frances says. “The staff is empathetic to my situation. I never hesitate to ask for help.”

After her hospital stay at NCLTAH, Frances plans to receive inpatient rehabilitation. Her goal is to get strong enough to go home to her everyday activities, including gardening.
