Ryan Kauk from Brush, Colo., lives with cerebral palsy. He enjoys playing on his computer, watching television, visiting family, and going outside.

After complications from a urinary tract infection, Ryan received monitoring and antibiotic management at Northern Colorado Long Term Acute Care Hospital. He chose to receive treatment at the hospital following a recommendation from a local acute care hospital. He and his family also liked that it was close their home.

“It’s been great,” Ryan says. “The nurses and doctors are caring, helpful, and very positive. The therapists are gentle when they work with me, but they definitely make me work hard!”

Ryan is excited to get back home soon and can’t wait to spend more time with his parents and brother.
